Warlords: Call to Arms Wiki

Overview[]

"For centuries, the land of Beneril has enjoyed peace, but behind every pretense of friendship, old prejudices still simmer. The inhabitants of this land generally stick to their own and try to tolerate each other as best they can. And this has been sufficient for a long time. However, an old threat has once again cast a shadow over the land. A threat that was thought to be confined to history books and old tales told around a campfire. A tortured race from the north, once known as “The Demons” are growing in numbers and summoning giant beings from another realm. Their influence already affects all, causing moods to darken and tempers to fray. All beings in Beneril can sense war is coming, it is only a matter of when…" -Opening Text

Warlords 2: Rise of Demons is a strategy game and is a sequel to Warlords: Call to Arms created by Ben Olding. When you choose a race, your goal is to conquer all territories on the map. Its gameplay is the same as its prequel, except graphics & the look of units were upgraded. It featured a new race called ''The Arnolds'', which you unlock after you complete the game with 3 races. It also added a pause button during a battle. Many new units were added.

Races[]

Every race is the same as the previous game (And these races are: Human Alliance, Demons, Mountain Trolls, Wood Elves, Undead, Orcs of the South, Men of the West, Orcs of the North, Night Elves and The Demons), except a new secret race was added. And that new secret race is called ''The Arnolds''. You unlock them once you beat the game with 3 races.

Tactic[]

To win non-castle battles, a good tactic is to spam the same units in one line. A good way to win battles with castles is to buy a siege unit (Fire Tower for example), or buy a Giant unit (Giant Troll or Giant Demon) and also spam them into one line. Spamming units into one line is much easier if you turn on ''Autosend'' in the options.

Victory Text[]

Default Campaign Ending[]

"Once again, out of war, came peace. The Demon threat had been suppressed and a feeling of calm descended on the land. The soldiers returned to their families and, for the time being at least, life was good."

Orcs of the North Victory[]

After the war the Orcs of the North reconciled their differences with their cousins in the South. Despite a few disruptive influences on both sides, the desire for a lasting peace between the two was strong.

Orcs of the South Victory[]

After the war the Orcs of the South reconciled their differences with their cousins in the North. Despite a few disruptive influences on both sides, the desire for a lasting peace between the two was strong.

Men of the West Victory[]

Satisfied that the demons were no longer a threat and that those in neighbouring regions, held no grudges, the men of the west returned to their territory and locked away their swords and armour. Safe for another time, hopefully in the distant future.

High Elves Victory[]

Throughout the war, the high Priestess of Isendor, has been using her powers to guide her troops and keep an eye on the land as a whole. This took its tool, and eventually she lost the ability to fully control her power. She now spends her days locked in a tower with priestesses constantly working to suppress her power with their own.

Undead Victory[]

The Undead tried their best to conquer the land of the living, but soon realized that those were not suitable for them to much light and vegetation. So they returned to their barren wasteland and decided to wait for another another time when they have the power to destroy all life.

Human Alliance Victory[]

The Demons had been suppressed yet again. But the King had learnt that The Demons would always slowly re-gain their strength and eventually attack again. He created an elite group of knights, called "The Watchers", who would provide early warning of any further demon uprisings.

Mountain Trolls Victory[]

The trolls conquered Beneril, but were spread too thinly. Over the following years each region managed to retake their land. All except the demon lands, which were too hot for the trolls anyway. So once again they were driven back into the mountains to which they had become more than accustomed.

Wood Elves Victory[]

The Wood Elves returned to the forest, but with a renewed suspicion of those that live outside it. While they were content to live in peace, they knew now to keep a watch on those around to avoid being caught off guard by war again.

Demon Campaign Ending[]

The Demons had attainted victory, but it was a hollow one. None of those beings could ever understand the constant pain that they felt, no matter how much torture was used. All this effort was doing was adding frustration to their already considerable anger.

Arnold Campaign Ending[]

The Arnolds had finally managed to eliminate all possible ancestors of the human resistance, and therefore all returned to the future, to await orders.
